MICRONEEDLING WITH SERUM INFUSION

The use of microneedling or dermaroller has been used for the treatment of skin laxity, wrinkles, post acne scars and skin rejuvenation or brightening.
Dermaroller is a hand held device which has numerous tiny needles, it’s rolled onto the skin surface, this leads to micro injury. Microneedling works on the principle of increased collagen production and increase in blood circulation. There is release of various growth factors as a result of the micro injury and this helps skin rejuvenate, also helps in the treatment of scars, wrinkles, open pores and dull complexion.
The latest technology by Dermafrac has introduced the use of simultaneous serum infusion. It involves rolling a hand-piece with numerous micro needles, this pulls the skin under vacuum and helps the penetration of the micro needles upto the mid dermis. This use of vacuum pressure helps better penetration and makes the procedure painless and comfortable. This creates numerous micro channels through which the serum is infused into the skin directly and simultaneously. There are different serums for different skin problems, which would include peptides, lightening agents, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and anti acne serum.
Microneedling along with serum infusion, provides better results with little discomfort, in comparison to microneedling alone. There is very little downtime. Different skin problems can be tackled better with the different serums. For someone with dry skin condition, the use of hyaluronic acid, results in well hydrated skin, for pigmentation/ blemishes Treatment, a lightening serum which has a combination of various lightening agents, along with vitamin C serum could be used, similarly acne and post acne scars can be corrected with the appropriate serum. The rejuvenation serum along with vitamin C and hyaluronic acid serum can be used for anti aging treatments and also for stretch marks. The number of sessions will depend upon the severity and duration of the skin condition.
